* 5 euros to the man/woman/robot beast who can tell the game I am thinking of with this quote.

Some questions for you peeps:

1) Watchmen - am I okay in being quitely optimistic about this film? Apart from anything else, it's a great choice for dude playing The Comedian.

2) Fallout 3 - I am actually really looking forward to this now. Are you?

3) How y'all doing? I want sitreps!

And on a side note:

What the Hell is this? The Incredible Picard?

The "joys" of doing an image search on Google. Profoundly disturbing is the phrase I would use for some of the images I found.

Why did I do this? What the hell is it?

I just found a load of old four panel comics. I mean seriously, what the fuck is this one about?

This makes no sense! Why Scott Bakula? What the hell is 'Mushu'?
Still, its true though. No one likes Connor Trineer
Also, this is ripe for a redraw:

Atomic Segways never get old.

Tortoise Hill *

Posted on 2008.07.24 at 14:12

Ha Ha! So, thanks to the vicious and sustained barage of taunting and hate for messer's Chunks and Robot, I had the stunning idea of taking my mistake and turning it into a new idea! Behold! The Tortoise Hill!

Still, I think its a pretty nifty idea?

In case any cares, the tortoise is rare Gigantic Plains Tortoise. They hibernate for 10-15 years and are only found in the southern latitudes of the Benevolent Monarchy, using the grass and plants that grow on their shells as insulation and camoflage. So rare are the tortoises, that King Leon Saldana put them under Royal Protection and decreed anyone hunting or killing them would have themselves and their families subjected to the Death of a Thousand Cuts.

The figures in the foreground are Keeley O'Dell and her robot protector, Jaspa. (He is actually her brother. After he was fatally wounded by Jennen, one of Krakenthor's duplicate Praetorians, his mind was encased in an 8T88 reconnaissance chassis.)

Shade *

Current Location: Somewhere you are not

It's Isaac Matthew Jensen and his loyal biped, Calavera, who are for some reason, hiding, weapons drawn, in the shade. As you do. This was just a 10 minute pencil sketch I did in my coffee break and then coloured it. Since there was no work to do.

Originally the combat bipeds were designed to be more like tanks, lots of levers and stuff and for the most part, that's how they'll remain but I decided since Calavera is supposed to be a non-production model, I'd give it some intelligence. It's supposed to be about as smart as a dog and can partially vocalise but thats about it.

Criticisms please!

EDIT! Also, someone made a comment...that's a rock, not a face. I drew it in like six seconds! Leave me alone!

Buenas Dias, punks!

I need your help, my creative amigos.

Here's a rough doodle, quickly coloured...

It was an idea I had as I wandered home from the pub last night...ah the creative results from being midly toasted. Anyway, I digress. PREPARE FOR GEEKDOM!
It'd be a sort of "Last Stand" but from a storm troopers perspective, but I decided to man it up a bit and give him a dirty great blaster rifle, the Star Wars equivalent of a SAW, if you will.

As you can see, lots of damage, blaster scoring, craters, dead troopers, buildings on fire, crashed TIE fighter, a pair of x-wings screaming overhead, a Victory Star Destroyer (maybe a MK2, who knows?) getting hammered by groundside turbolasers (unlike the concept artists behind The Force Unleashed, I remembered that only the Victory class SDs could enter atmosphere...not the ISDs. Ha! Me 1, TFU 0), fluttering Imperial flags

Sort of going for a real feeling that the Empire is getting annihilated, that this trooper is the last of his squad, making a valiant last stand against the Rebel scum. I was thinking of making him an "old" clone (think temeura morrison, greying hair, scars etc) but I'm not sure about that (that's somewhat confusing about the Star Wars EU about the lifespan of a clone, I thought it was supposed to be about 20 years since they are artificially aged but the NJO and Legacy have them living a lot longer). Also, should I keep the iconic helmet on? (which would settle my previous question)

So, any of you who are creatively inclined, give me your feedback, any criticisms, ideas... Chunks, Crum, etc, hear my summons!

At Corinado's Gate *

Posted on 2008.05.29 at 11:20

Just a 30 second doodle (which turned into a half hour PS colouring) of everyone's favourite Genetic-Duplicate-Artificial-Aged-Albino-Gunslinger, Winston Kaplow. If I had to fit it into the 'Stormbringer' timeline anywhere, this would probably be the fateful day in October, 288C.E when Winston had his dramatic (supposed) final showdown with his one time friend, the Stormbringer, at the foot of the fortress-mesa, Corinado's Gate.

Needless to say, it ends badly, with Winston being shot.
I had the idea from the final scenes of 'Unforgiven' with William Munney's growling hate filled message to the town in a thunderstorm. Good stuff.

Hi gang! For my best friend's birthday, I thought I'd do him something special and since he is an Uber Massig fan of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica it turned into a picture of his favourite character. Here's the finished photoshop jobbie (Adama was a pencil rendering, whilst the table, Tigh, Apollo and Starbuck were inked line drawings)

And this is the finished printed article. I sent it to a photo printing company who printed in on 'German Etching Paper' (whatever the hell that is) and I've got to say, the finish is lovely.

I just thought I'd share it with you. I'm not usually really proud of my own drawings but I think I've done 'alright' this time.

Hey kids, whose in the mood for some blasphemy?

behold, a photoshop rebuttal sent to my friend. We were discussing GTA IV and the fact that neither of us has put much time in yet but it turns out Adam has renewed his interest in Mass Effect and is close to finishing it. I took the chance to gently remind him, it was a sacred obligation for him to finish Halo 3 (although he never finished Halo 2 either, but lets be honest, that's not the end of the world). I was going to put his face in the picture as well, but since the only photos I have of him are ones where he is looking at the camera, in this instance, it would have looked like the Master Christ was breaking his neck.

anyhoo, if you're christian and are offended by this, don't bother emailing me, because I don't care! Bye!

Yo, quick question:

Has anyone ever wanted to do something, then fall to their knees, wailing "My God...what have I done?", then if you want to mix up it, either start crying or letting out an anguished "Nooooooooooooooo" which segues into a kind of choking sob?

Just me then. I obviously have a taste for the theatrics then.

Trying to get a list of Viper pilots who have died from the Battlestar Wiki, I accidentally clicked on another link which went to the Humanoid Cylon page, which has given away which major characters turn out to be Toasters in seasons 3/4.
